He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Stocksdale and Margaret Stocksdale; his siblings, Linda, Marvin and Chuck Stocksdale; and his pet Ginger.

He is survived by: his wife Lisa Van Meter; his stepsons, Blake Schirmer, Patrick Schirmer and Logan Schirmer; his granddaughter Bella Schirmer; his sisters, Judy Dehn and Patti McIntosh (Jesse); and his siblings-in-law, Sheila Davis (Mike), Rhonda Stocksdale, Kent Van Meter and Greg Van Meter (Cheryl). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
