He is survived by: his sons, Ronald Gene Hawkins of Elizabethtown and Raymond Lee Hawkins of Radcliff; and his siblings, Sina Brackett of Munfordville, Rita Mae Smith of Elizabethtown, Betty Ann Fields of Elizabethtown, Charles Eugene Hawkins of Elizabethtown, Jerry Hawkins of Munfordville and Gary Hawkins of Elizabethtown. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
