She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolf Mathys and Virginia Elisa Wittwer Mathys; her siblings, Marjorie Gentry, Virginia Eloise Stallings, Rudolph Lee and Frederick Mathys (Fred); her nephew Allen Gentry; and her pet Ginger.

She is survived by: her sister Verna Cooper; her stepchildren, Jason Johnson and Kelly Gajiwoski; her nieces, Debbie Wilson, Janice Bleemel, Gale Etherton, Cheri Johnson, Sue Pate, Michele Raymer and Angela Snook; and her nephew Wayne Gentry.
