He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Elmer and Florence Ellsworth Kouts; his daughter Maureen Barnes; and his siblings, Anne Atkins, Constance Fenwick and John Kouts.
He is survived by: his wife Diana June Erdman Kouts of Eddyville, KY; his daughter Kathaleen Clutts (Michael); his brothers, Russell Kouts (Sara) of Indianapolis, IN and Thomas Kouts (Mary) of Bellville, IL; his sister-in-law Jo Ann Kouts of Columbus, IN; and his grandchildren, Grace E. Clutts, Jackson H. Clutts, Christopher Bober, Allison James and Joshua James. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
