He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hastings and Catherine Thorpe Hastings; and his sisters, Denita Rushing and Kelly Hastings. He is survived by: his wife Teresa McDowell Hastings; his sons, Kenneth James "Jamie" Hastings (Nicole) and Christopher Wayne "Chris" Hastings; his sister Kadie Driver of Princeton, KY; and his grandchildren, Gunner, Kenzley and Hailey Hastings. He is also survived by two nieces and one nephew.
