He was predeceased by: his parents, Burl Carmichael and Rowena Carmichael; his wife Barbara Ann Siddal Carmichael; and his siblings, Randy Carmichael and Janice Carmichael.
He is survived by: his son James Carmichael (Jay) of Crawfordville, FL; his stepchildren, Carla Martin of Evansville, IN, Chuck Brumitt of Evansville, IN, Angie Galusha of Eddyville, Jessica Thompson of Eddyville and Jami Lenchi of Murray; his grandchildren, Spincer Carmichael, Bryce Carmichael, Jay Carmichael, Anthony Martin, Cody Galusha, Dallas Galusha, Dalton Thompson, Camden Thatcher, Jadyn Lencki, Rylie Lencki and Colten Lencki; and his great grandchildren, Gavin Martin and Gunner Galusha.
