With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evelyn Ratay of Eddyville, Kentucky, born in Knob Lick, Kentucky, who passed away on December 11, 2021 at the age of 98. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Evelyn Ratay to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Weeden Alexander and Dora Malinda Beard (Lambirth); her husband Stanley Ratay; her son Stephen Wells; and her siblings, Mary Edna South, Robert Beard and Herbert Beard.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rebecca Shimkus (James) of Eddyville and Nancy Nicol (Harry) of St. Augustine, Florida; her daughter-in-law Mary Wells of Shiloh, Illinois; and her sister Ruth Huffman of Glasgow, Kentucky. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
