He was predeceased by: his parents, William Earl Hamby and Thelma Sue Cline Keel. He is survived by: his daughter Casey Hamby Monroe (Jimmy) of Cadiz; his siblings, Tony Hamby (Mary) of Christian County, Robin Keel (Nicole) of Christian County and Susan Graham (Randy) of Hopkinsville; and his grandchildren, Rachel Grace Monroe and Logan Gage Monroe (Margie Johnson) of Christian County.
