He was predeceased by: his parents, Orlan Gass and Imogene Gass; his wife Wilma; his children, Melvin Clark and Brenda Gass; and his siblings, Fanny Fritts, Ruby Bingham, Sue Beliles, Hubert Gass and Ted Gass.
He is survived by: his children, Tina Newcom (Perry) of Marion, Janet Cain (Doug) of Columbia, TN, Vicki Cherette of Madisonville, Terry Crowell (James) of Nebo, Wayne Gass (Janet) of Sturgis, Bobby Gass (Sue) of Owensboro and Jimmy Dale Gass (Jackie) of Onton. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
