He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Elder Stephens; his parents, Herman L. Stephens and Louise Flynn Stephens; his brother James H. Stephens; and his grandson Matthew Thomas Stephens.
He is survived by: his sons, Tom Stephens (Kim) of Watertown, TN, Randy Stephens (Arlene) of Claxton and Tim Stephens (Teresa) of Louisville; his siblings, Sue, Croft (Bill) of Calvert City, Dottie Dill of Lebanon, TN and Bill Stephens (Kathy) of Tuscaloosa, AL; and also Laura Mazac. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
