It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shana Michelle Gates of Central City, Kentucky, born in Greenville, Kentucky, who passed away on September 1, 2020, at the age of 21, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She is survived by: her parents, Jeff Gates (Pam) of Greenville and Sharon Holmes of Central City; her siblings, Aaron Holmes of Central City, Cheri Sherrod (Jordan) of Greenville, Kim Gates of Greenville, Felisha Gates of White Plains, Carrie Bard (Jamie) of Depoy and Brandi Bard (Roger) of Depoy; her grandparents, Retha Cunningham of Central City, Linda Simms of Greenville and Geri Steward of Arkansas; her uncle Anthony Gates of Greenville; and her aunts, Teresa Horton (Chris) of Arkansas, Susan Willoughby of Central City, Carol Smith of Central City and Cindy Cox (Gary) of Owensboro. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends who are attending the visitation or funeral service are asked to wear a face mask for the safety of all those in attendance, in accordance with the governor's mandate.
