He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Lear and Bertie Brown Lear; his former wife Nadean Lear; his stepson James Dorsey, Jr.; and his grandson Christopher Patrick McElroy.
He is survived by: his wife Winnie Rose Johnson Lear of Central City; his son Steve Lear (Anna) of Belton; and his stepchildren, Angie Whittington of Bowling Green, Debbie McElroy (Ron) of Cleaton and William Harry Sinclair, Sr. of Dalhart. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson.
Family and friends who attend the visitation or graveside service will be required to wear masks and respect social distancing as per state mandate.
