He was predeceased by: his parents, Porter Glidewell and Maude Glidewell (Owens); and his siblings, Earl Glidewell, Russell Glidewell, Kimble Glidewell, Clarence Glidewell, Margaret Pike, Hazel Bozmer, Jewell Davis, Ruby Blaydes and Pearl Palmetier.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Glidewell (Durham); his son Chris Glidewell (Vickie) of Campbellsville; his grandson MacKenzie Glidewell (Neha) of Asheville; and his sister-in-law Lura Glidewell of Campbellsville.
