He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Noel Winstead and Virginia Ashby Winstead; his former wife Judy Ray Winstead; and his brother Billy Winstead. He is survived by: his wife Lindah Major-Winstead of Cadiz, KY; his children, Tami Peters (Mike) of Fairview, TN, Robb Winstead (Amy) of Franklin, TN, Jason Major (April) of Bowling Green, KY, Charles Major (Katrina) of Dallas, TX and Cylinda Phillips Hodges (Chris) of Clarksville, TN; his grandchildren, Matthew Peters, Megan Peters Wallace (Elijah), Cassie Chandler (Matt), Abigail Winstead Townsend (Trevor), Austin Winstead, Dalton Major, Jada Major, Savannah Major and Sahara Major; and his great grandchildren, Lacey, Lily, Landon and Lincoln Chandler.
