She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Vera and Elizabeth Vera (Silva); and her siblings, Ted Vera, Joe Vera, Marcellina Zarazua, Josephine Vera, Lucia Jackson, Ernestina Arnett, Frances Meyers, Rachel A. Nehl and Beatrice Lyon.

She is survived by: her husband Joseph W. Yates of Cadiz; her sons, Joseph W. Yates, II of Cadiz and Michael L. Yates of Daytona Beach, Florida.; and her siblings, Frank G. Vera (Deborah) of Arlington and Virginia Perbeck of Manhattan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
