He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles B. Rhodus and Ana Rhodus; and his siblings, Shirley Johnson, June Ginn and Roger Rhodus.

He is survived by: his wife Pamela; his sister Jo Chapin; his children, Tonya Hofgard (Mark), Charles Rhodus (Anne) and Douglas Rhodus (Jessica); and his grandchildren, Kendall, Brooke, Abbie, Jill, Suzannah, Ainsley and Sam.
