Porter of Bowling Green, Kentucky, born in Jackson, Mississippi, who passed away on February 25, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Ewing Porter of Bowling Green, KY and Eleanor McCuan Porter of Dresden, TN.; his siblings, Eleanor Jordan Golenpaul and Virgil E. Porter, Jr.; his niece Haddad Porter; and also Jerrie Salemi Porter.

He is survived by: his wife Pat Johnson; his daughter Holly Rose (Todd); his stepson Chris Wicher (Cleo); his grandsons, Austin Rose and Harrison Rose; his stepgranddaughter Maddie Wicher; his nephew Ray Jordan; his nieces, Jennie Jordan, Pam Glover (Jeff) and Paige Whitman (Marcus); and his stepchildren, Ginny McCrary (Robert), Jeff Johnson (Berry), Patrick Johnson (Jennifer) and Catherine Hicks (Brian).
