It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Leroy Ground of Bowling Green, Kentucky, born in Smiths Grove, Kentucky, who passed away on February 19, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxie Elwood Ground and Dorothy Grinstead; and his wife Julia Ground. He is survived by: his daughter Cherie Madison (Bobby) of Bowling Green, KY; his grandchildren, Paige Madison and Ethan Madison; his siblings, Charles Ground (Amy), Stevie Ground (Lori), Linda Harris (Lynn) of Smiths Grove, KY, Gracie Norton of Smiths Grove, KY, Nancy Stacker (Rusty) of Smiths Grove, KY, Joyce Ausbrooks of Smiths Grove, KY, Teresa Miller (Kenny) of Smiths Grove, KY and Maxine Arterburn (Steve) of Smiths Grove, KY; and his brothers-in-law, Jerry Howard of Somerset, KY and Eddie Howard of Somerset, KY. He is also survived by nineteen nieces and nephews, many cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky. Donations can be dropped off at the funeral home.
