He was predeceased by: his parents, John Russell and Della Milburn Chesser; his wife Audie Hardin Chesser; his sons, Larry and Charles Marion Chesser; and his siblings, Jimmy K., Robert, Davey Chesser and Stella Frances Riley.
He is survived by: his sons, William Ray Chesser (Ann) of Bardstown and Alan Chesser (Debbie) of Bloomfield; and his sisters, Della Pearl Hardin of Mt. Washington, Katie of Louisville and Ruby Mattingly of Louisville. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
