He was predeceased by: his parents, Vinson Carpenter and Udell Powell Carpenter. He is survived by: his son Justin Carpenter (Tina); his grandchildren, Audrey, Samantha and Alexlee; his sister Carol Fox (Bobby); and also Wanda Carpenter. He is also survived by several nieces, and other extended family and friends.
