He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Lee and Elizabeth Moscoe Smith; and his wife Aggie Lee Ball Smith. He is survived by: his sons, Randal C. Smith (Patricia) of Bedford, KY, Gary A. Smith of Bedford, KY and Greg D. Smith (Candy) of Eminence, KY; and his sister Marjorie Couch of Carrollton, KY. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
