He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Sr. Funk and Libby Funk. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Funk of Bardstown; his sons, Todd Funk of Louisville and Chris Funk (Jennifer) of Louisville; his stepchildren, Jessica Horn (James) of Bowling Green, Jason Yates of Winslow, IN and Tricia Yates of Arnold, MO; and his siblings, Libby Thompson (Clarence) of Florida, Bob Funk (Stephanie) of Louisville, Bill Funk of Louisville, David Funk (Linda) of Frankfort and Ellen Derrosett of New Castle. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
