He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Barnes Sr. and Ann Marie White Barnes; his children, Marquitta Hoskins and Debra "Daisy" Clark; his brothers, Marice Thomas, William Barnes and Marsheld Thomas; his parents-in-law, James and Stella Stone Clark; his son-in-law Buster Cornett; and his brother-in-law Cliff Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Sue Barnes of Barbourville; his children, Donna Jean Cornett and Lakenya Jacara Clark Martinez (Willie) of Cookeville, TN; and his siblings, Jacqueline Onita Wright of Indianapolis, IN, Suzane Johnson of Barbourville, John W. Barnes (Ann) of Elizabethtown and Mark A. Thomas of Williamsburg. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren.
