She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Chester and Effie Bargo; and her siblings, Edna Mae Williams, Obie and Edwin Bargo.
She is survived by: her son Joe Higgins (Cynthia) of Winchester; her sisters, Myrtle Bailey of Barbourville and Evelyn Hampton of Barbourville; and her grandchildren, Kimberly Scharf, Ariel, Bradley, Ashley Higgins and Hannah Whitt. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
