She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Vanover and Della Vanover; her husband Elwood Scott; her son Steven Randal Scott; and her siblings, Mary Horne, Grace Lee and Virgil Allen Vanover.
She is survived by: her sisters, Joann Sterling and Nancy Kay Arthur; her children, Gary Scott (Gayla) of Flatwoods and Debra Gill (David) of Flatwoods; and her grandchildren, Terra White, Steven Scott, Kendel Fantozzo, Michelle Stringer, Scott Gill, Lauren Mixon and Yana Gill. She is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren.
