She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah Hatten and Lottie Ferguson Hatten; her husband Dr. James E. Smith; and her siblings, Carl'Doc'Hatten, Charles Hatten, Ira Hatten and Mary Evelyn Hatten.
She is survived by: her children, David Smith (Denise) of Catlettsburg, Dale Smith of Wheelersburg, Ohio and Debbie Smith (Tim Laney) of Toledo, Ohio; and her granddaughter Allixandria Smith of Ashland, Kentucky..
