She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Elwood and Sarah Fern Steward (Hankins); her husband Virgil "Chuck" Brooks; and her sister Mildred Andrews. She is survived by: her son Virgil "Duke" Brooks (Cindy Rains) of Winfield; her family Michael "Alan" Brooks of Winfield; her siblings, Charles L. Steward of Winfield, Evelyn Linscott of Apache Junction, AZ, Dorothy I. Rush of Oxford and Charlotte Hendrick (John) of Wichita; and her grandchildren, Lee Brooks, Tasha Brooks, Rachel Brooks, Lance Brooks, Ashley Brooks, John Jordan (Danielle Fulheart) and Robert Jordan.
