He was predeceased by: his parents, Manford Carlos and Lenora Elizabeth Cheney; and his brother Donald. He is survived by: his former wife Carolyn Joann Spencer; his wife Beverly Cheney; his sister Linda Snavely; his children, Tom Cheney, Judy Hurley and Susan Flores; his stepson Marty Whitson; his grandchildren, Jason Henry, Bryan Henry, Sarah Brecourt, Jolie DeRowen, Daniel Wright, Alyssa Rumple, Andrea Penn, Tiara Haywood, Melissa Wilson, Stephanie Wilmott, Tammy Cheney, Matthew Whitson and Marcus Whitson; and his niece Laura Cheney. He is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cowley County Humane Society, the Winfield Lions Club, Phoenix Hospice, and the Lewy Body Dementia Association, donations may be left in the care of the funeral home.
