She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Thomason and Xyla Thomason (Burgess); her husband Roger Schenk; and her sister Karen Tingle. She is survived by: her daughters, Tracy Schenk-Lara (Richard) of Wichita and Cortney Peninger (Matt) of Wellington, Kansas; her grandchildren, R. J. Lara, Kileigh Peninger, Andres Lara, Kennedee Lara, Nikki Peninger and Ashlee Peninger; her brother-in-law Don Schenk (Mary) of Joplin, Missouri; her nieces, Kim and Kelly Tingle of Arizona; and her cousin Xyla Ruth Savage of Maryland.
