He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus Sauzek and Leanna Sauzek (Phillips); and his sister-in-law Carolyn Sauzek. He is survived by: his former wife Karen Houk; his wife Deana of Wellington, Kansas; his children, Tiffin Meyer (Bob) of Wellington, Kansas, Nicole Rhine of Alexandria, Virginia, Eden Burrows (Chet) of Olney, Texas and Nathan Sauzek (Jessie) of Belle Plaine, Kansas; his grandchildren, Hoyt Burrows (Kaitlyn), Wyat Burrows (Makenzi), Taylor Meyer, Tanner Meyer, Cauy Burrows, Hayley Sauzek, Cheyenne Sauzek and Riley Sauzek; and his brothers, Ed Sauzek and Larry Sauzek (Jean).

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his loving name to Take.
