He was predeceased by: his parents, Madge Tibbs and Charles Tibbs; his son Charles Neil Tibbs; his wife Beverly Tibbs; his sister Connie Parker; and his granddaughter Shanna Tibbs.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Lori; his brother Alvis Martinson; his children, Mitch Tibbs (Sheila), Mark Tibbs and Lori LaForge (Pat); his grandchildren, Deric Tibbs (Leslie), Jordan Tibbs, Donovan Tibbs, Morgan LaForge and Adam LaForge; his great grandchildren, Kailey Harris (Michael), Kannon Klein, Addelyn Tibbs, Hailey Tibbs, Dayton Tibbs and Harper Valencia; and his close friend Garnett Craig.
In lieu of flowers, his family asks that contributions be given to the First United Methodist Church, 202 West Harvey Avenue, Wellington, Kansas, the Wellington Public Library, 121 West 7th Street, Wellington, Kansas or Interim Hospice, 105 South Washington Avenue, Wellington, Kansas.
