He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald William and Ethel Clare McAlister (Gilkerson); and his sister Caroline Bourestom (McAlister). He is survived by: his siblings, Judith Kelly (Bruce) of Colleyville, Texas, Becca Hines (John) of Denton, Texas, Tom McAlister (Gala) of Wichita, Kansas and Patricia McAlister of Dallas, Texas; and his nieces and nephews, Julie Leis (Doug) of Wellington, Heather Shank (Scott) of Eastborough, Kristan Collins (Scott) of Lake Oswego, Kate Gray (Randy) of Columbia, W. M. Cranmer of Irving, John Hines of Ponder, Nathan Hines (Teri) of New Boston, Robert Bourestom (Kristan) of Carrollton and Melissa Bourestom of Dallas.
