She was predeceased by: her parents, Alouis Staudenmaier and Anna Marie Staudenmaier (Miller); her husband Kenneth Frederick Hewins; her children, Linda Andrews and Leroy Hewins; her siblings, Elizabeth Tharman, Martha Terrell, Mary Grace Koons, Andrew, Phillip and Joseph Staudenmaier; her grandson Nicholas Irby; and her great grandchild Christopher Stivers.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Odegaard, Nancy Marie, Jo Ellen Hewins, Helen Hewins, Eva Marie Hewins-Deisler, Glenn Hewins (Patty) and Harvey Hewins (Alinea). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Joseph's Catholic Church Renovation Fund, St. Ann's Altar Society, Wathena EMS or the St. Croix Hospice.
