With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charlene Brandt of Wathena, Kansas, born in Bedford, Iowa, who passed away on June 5, 2021 at the age of 96. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Charlene Brandt to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Swaim and Gertrude Swaim (Downing); her husband Ben; her brothers, Bill Swaim and Bob Swaim; and her son-in-law David McDermit.
She is survived by: her children, Lee Brandt (Ruth) of Wathena, Barry Brandt (Heidi) of Little Rock, Arkansas. and Jackie Brandt McDermit of Sarasota, Florida.; and her siblings, James Swaim of Wichita Falls, Texas. and Rosalene Varley of Clarinda. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
