It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susan Benkelman (Wakeeney, Kansas), born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on April 29, 2019, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Harvey Hancock and Joan Hancock (LaGarde). She is survived by: her husband Dr. William Benkelman; her sons, Barry H. Benkelman (Susan) of Lawrence, KS and John H. Benkelman (Heather Robben); her grandsons, William L. and Jackson K. Benkelman of Lawrence, KS; and her brother John L. Hancock of Jacksonville, AL.
