She was predeceased by: her parents, R. F. Cobb and Beulah Cobb (Steeby); her former husband William Jr. Thompson; her husband William "Bill" Franken; her brother R. F. Cobb Jr.; and her grandson Scott King.

She is survived by: her children, Ronnie Thompson and Sue Simmons; and her grandson Chad King.
