It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley A. Gifford of Topeka, Kansas, born in Ripley, Tennessee, who passed away on October 3, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Ashmore and Dovie Forsythe Ashmore; and her siblings, Ronald Lee, Kenneth Wayne Ashmore and Beverly Kay Tinsley.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Gifford of Topeka; her children, Cheryl Lawhorn (Darin) and Bobby Gifford; her grandchildren, Alicia Hysten (Jordan) and Jacob Lawhorn (Jenna); and her great grandchildren, Joseph Hysten, Jaxon Hysten and Jamison Hysten. She is also survived by numerous cousins and nieces and nephews.
