It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Redger (Topeka, Kansas), born in Lyons, Kansas, who passed away on July 23, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth Redger; her parents, J. Leslie Stewart and Nellie Stewart; and her stepdaughter Dawn Redger. She is survived by: her sons, Steven Soliday (Julia) and Chris Soliday (Lara); her stepchildren, Lee Redger (Marie), Patricia Miller (Wendell) and James Redger (Jane); her grandchildren, Emily, Sarah, Mark and Tabitha; and her siblings, Leona Keene, Joseph Stewart, James Stewart and Joellyn Cotton (Ed). She is also survived by 9 step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the General Missionary Fund at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or to the American Legion and Auxiliary Unit 80 and sent in care of Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Rd, Topeka KS 66614.

“Dear Redger family. Please accept my sincere condolences. I knew Ruth. She was my neighbor in the Valley Park neighborhood. In the first years she was very active in our neighborhood association. She was such a sweet, dear lady. When medical issues set 📐in and could not attend I would call her from time to time to check on her. A couple of times at Christmas she was a recipient of our Christmas basket and some Christmas caroling. We shall miss her very much. God bless and comfort your fam.”
