He was predeceased by: his parents, William Blackwell and Alberta Blackwell; his son Lance Blackwell; and his siblings, Billy, Bobby, Terry, Danny, Lacinda and Glea.
He is survived by: his wife Mary "Cathy" Blackwell of Topeka; his children, Ronnie Blackwell, Brandi Leggitt (Steve), Rhonna Blackwell, Patricia Meeks, Vickie Blackwell and Michael Myer; and his siblings, Glenda Hase (Kenny) of Rossville, Darlene Gartner (John) of Topeka, Connie Burke of Holton and Rick Blackwell of Springfield, Missouri. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
