Richard Appelhanz Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 25, 2021, at the age of 76, Richard Appelhanz of Topeka, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph, Sr. Appelhanz and Margaret Appelhanz; and his siblings, Rosella Appelhanz, Margaret Shields, Josephine Robinson, Patricia Burghart and Whitey Appelhanz.
He is survived by: his wife Charlene Sawazhki; his children, Cindy Riggs (Arlen), Richard Appelhanz, Amy Manrose, Anne Escalante (Tony), Anthony Appelhanz (Shana) and Mary Reece (Micah); and his sisters, Mary Anne Haag, Ruth Phillips (Dennis) and Paulette Hafenstein (Mike). He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made in his memory to Sacred Heart/St.
