Michael Leroy Manning Obituary
Michael "Mike" L. Manning, age 55, of Topeka passed away Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Midland Hospice House. Mike was born August 22, 1964 in Topeka, the son of Glen, Sr. and Joyce (Hamilton) Manning. Mike graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1982. He went on and graduated from Kaw Valley VoTech and worked as a machinist for Santa Fe Railroad in Topeka.
He would later work in construction. He married Stephanie Price June 12, 1993 in Topeka. Mike enjoyed woodcarving, carpentry, metal fabrication, auto mechanics, fishing, hunting and especially spending time with his family that will miss him greatly. Mike was preceded in death by an infant daughter, who died in infancy. He is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Stephanie; his parents, Glen and Joyce Manning of Silver Lake; son, Brandon Manning of Topeka; stepson, Arlie Barhum of Pennsylvania; daughter, Coleen Manning of Topeka; two brothers, Glen E. Manning, Jr. of Hamilton, MO and Robert L. Manning of Silver Lake; a sister, Joy Lea Thornton of Silver Lake, Leroy Manning and five other grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday, December 16th at Davidson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.
