He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis W. Waetzig and Dorothy M. Waetzig (Miller). He is survived by: his siblings, Dennis F. Waetzig (Marlene) of Chesterfield, MO and Connie K. Holmes (Bruce) of Williamsburg, VA; his nephews, Chad Waetzig (Liz), Todd Waetzig (Sarah Chaffee), Bryan Holmes (Julie Leaf) and Matthew Holmes; and his great-nieces, Julia Waetzig, Grace Williams and Erin Williams.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Topeka High Athletics Football Program.
