He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lee Shields and Syble Hill Shields; his wife Jody Wayment; his children, Sherri Thompson (Nathan), Ron Shields (Erica), Vicki Whitaker (Greg) and Roger Shields (Latisha); his grandchildren, Erica, Tyler, Cheyenne, Sterling, Chase, Christa, Alexa, Taylor, Rocky, Rylie, Andrea, Tori, Will, Sarah, Derek, Dustin, Kaylee and Brandon; and his siblings, Gerald Shields and Pat Fox. He was also cherished by eight great-grandchildren.
