She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Peterson and Bonnie Peterson; her foster parents, Hank Cook and Mary Cook; her grandson Chad Alan Shafer; and her brothers, Larry, Karl and Neil Peterson.
She is survived by: her husband Stan; her children, Shelee Shafer (Roy) of Grantville, Alan Williams of Topeka and Jason Williams (Trisha) of Topeka; her grandchildren, Ashley Toyne (Scott), Kayla Baker (Casey), Riley Shafer, Isabelle and Lanie Williams; her great grandchildren, Blake, Addison, Connor Toyne, Elee Reynolds, Cashton and Carson Baker; her sister Kaye DeHart of Cleveland, MO; and her siblings-in-law, Therese Peterson of Topeka and Myron Williams (Jan) of Sand Springs, OK. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care or Koinonia class in care of Topeka Bible Church.
