She is survived by: her husband Ken Wheeler; her daughter Kristi Wheeler; her mother Jeanne Justus (Swindell); and her brothers, Ken Swindell and Robert Swindell. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorial Contributions. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Missouri Kidney Program; National Kidney Foundation; Daphneyland Basset Rescue (CA), or Wayside Waifs in Kansas City.
