She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Arbogast and Lilly Mae Woodfin Arbogast; her former husband James "Bud" Brooks; her son John Brooks; her siblings, Rowland Arbogast, Avis Clause and Sallie May Purcell; and her great grandchild Patrick Hemphill.

She is survived by: her husband Bob King; her children, Diana Morrison (David), Doug King (Tammy), Jim Brooks (Kathrina), David Brooks (Lisa), Mitchell Brooks (Laura), Matthew Brooks (Kristy), Carreen Rogers (Ralph) and Kathy Fairbanks (Gary); and her brother Norval Arbogast. She is also survived by thirty grandchildren, sixty-five great grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
