He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Mincks and Myrle Neal Purdy. He is survived by: his wife Claire Roberts; his daughters, Morgan Watts (Jimmy) and Jacque Hymer (Jaydan); his siblings, Dale Mincks (Kathy), Deannie Mincks (Debbie), Jimmy Mincks (Lisa), Rob Purdy (Susan), Chuck Mincks (Melissa), Shane Mincks, Donna Jones (Ronnie), Carol Huff, Rita Struble (Mike), Vonda Geeding (Pete) and Shonna Mincks (Joe); his grandchildren, Rylee, Lane, Maycie and Dizzy; and his pet Lillyann Flower.
