He was predeceased by: his son Randy; and his brother Leon Hester. He is survived by: his son Herbert Lee (Ellen Cummins Hester); his significant other Charlotte Rhynerson Hester; his daughters, Elaine Danley and Gayla Boyles (Tom); his brother Wayne Hester; and his grandchildren, Raymond Wallace (Candice), Lisa Boyles (Kaleb), Josh Wallace (Katy) and Cody Boyles (Felisha). He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
