She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Abram and Juanita Dene Burleson Mitchell. She is survived by: her husband Melvin LeRoy "Butch" Farris; her children, Daniel M. Farris (Erica) and Teresa Dene Henderson (Frank); and her siblings, Victor Mitchell (Ellie) and Jalayn Love (John). She is also survived by seven grandchildren.
