He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Papst and Rose Papst; his wife JoAnn Papst of Paola; and his siblings, Clarence, Ella Marie, Irene and Mary Ellen.

He is survived by: his children, Jan Murray (Bill), Joe Papst (Paula), Karen Corkill (Luke) and Theresa Bergeron (Wes); and his grandchildren, Scott, Rachel, Drew, Nick, Ryan, Jared, Lynsey and Austin. He is also survived by his friends and especially his loving family.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society.

“So sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Bud (Joe). Even though we had been separated these past many years, I have never forgotten him or stopped loving him. He bought me my first ball glove when I was 12 and that experience has never left my mind. I am so happy he had a very long and active life. I know he will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. RIP Uncle Bud. Loved you very much. Don Papst”
